If a dialog such as the one illustrated appears while using Oceanbrowser please follow the steps below to resolve.

This dialog appears on some windows computers when the software is having trouble referencing the DVD drive. Click Cancel to make the dialog window go away. You may have to click it a number of times if the window re-appears.

If you have not already done so (and you probably have) make sure you have installed OceanBrowser and your course materials on your computer. Once installed you do not need to leave your DVD in each time you study, please file somewhere safe (e.g. in case you need to install on a 2nd computer).

Tell Oceanbrowser not to check the DVD for course materials

To resolve the issue follow these steps

- Go to the file menu -> Preferences: General tab
- Click the option "Don't check DVD/CD-ROM for course content
- Click "OK" (1) to confirm changes.

Quit OceanBrowser, remove the course DVD-ROM, then restart OceanBrowser.
