Emptying Java Cache

Describes how to empty files in your Java cache (if you have been asked to do this by OceanBrowser support)

Before you begin

Please close any web browsers you have open.

Locate Java Preferences.

Mac users: navigate to Applications / Utilities / Java Preferences

Windows users: Java preferences is in you Start menu -> Control Panels window.

Launch Java preferences

Launch Java preferences. The General tab shows which version(s) of Java you have installed (1).

Delete cached files

Go to the Network tab (1).
You can view cached files (which you have previously used in Java on your computer) (2)

To Delete the cached java files, click "Delete files" (3)

A dialog appears, you can uncheck Trace and Log files

Click OK. Downloaded java applications / files have now been deleted.
