The standard interface for editing a new post appears. Note the up/down arrows at (1). These will expand or contract the size of the editing interface. If you need to add an attachment to your post, use (2) to do this. After attaching a file (2) becomes a menu. You can select one of your uploaded attachments from this menu and it will be inserted as a link in the text area.

Add your text to the textbox. You can use formatting controls (3) to change your text style.

To add a hyperlink to the selected text in the editing area, use the hyperlink button (4).

When you have finished editing use Submit New Article (5), or you can preview your article if you prefer.

After you have submitted your article, it will be displayed. Note the name of the article (1). This can be linked anywhere in the wiki or forum post surrounded by double-square brackets: [[article name]], in the example shown, it would be [[module 5 text - avmx724]]

Note: if you are posting to the forum, these messages will go out to students as emails. Wiki links are not emailed, so you may prefer to instead link to the wiki's URL, read on for this...

When you create a new forum post, or wiki article, the address will be shown in your browser's address bar (1). This is the URL of your POSTING not the article itself. Click the post link at (3) to load the correct URL for the article.

The page will reload, and the article's URL now ends with ?p=<number>. You may safely email this link to people if you are referencing the article elsewhere.
