Installing OceanBrowser 2 on Mac OSX

Insert the course DVD into your Mac computer. Open a New Finder Window (1), click on the DVD (2) to show its contents and then double click on the "OSX" folder (3).

Double click on the installer (1). The name may be slightly different on your DVD (it depends on your course) but the name will end in "install"

The installer window will appear. Click on the course(s) (1) you wish to install. Only install papers you are studying - you won't be able to access course content for other papers until you are enrolled in them. Click the install button to begin the installation process.

The progress bar will indicate the progress of the installation. Finder copy windows will appear as the files are copied to your hard drive. The process may take 10-20 min if your course has a large number of files.

A confirmation dialog will appear when the software installation is complete. Click OK and close the installer window.

To launch OceanBrowser, go to your Applications folder (1), OceanBrowser 2 folder (2) and double click on the OceanBrowser application. (3).
